Open-air museum Klockenhagen

On 60,000 sqm total area you find examples of the Mecklenburg Western-Pomerania country life: Low German hall houses, small cottages, barns, fire engine houses, windmills (see title), country store, cottage and herb garden, repair shops, historic agricultural engineering, household effects.

An holistic picture of the former country life is documented by traditional animal husbandry like saddleback pigs, wooly Pomeranian sheeps as well as diverse poultry in connection with interior fittings of the buildings, the country technical collection and the evidences of gardening and parcel agriculture.

Festivities with regular appointment: Eastern, tun festival (last Sunday in July), harvest crown show (from the end of August), harvest festival. Further offers: concerts, bakery and craftsmen days, churchy marriage ceremonies, restaurant. Parking is available directly at the entrance.

daily from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
(last entrance 4:30 p.m.)

The country store is just opened from Wednesday to Sunday!
