Baltic resort Prerow

The snow-white sand and the green-blue sun-gleaming crystal-clear water of the Prerow bay sometimes implements a southern impression.

The former sailor's and fishermen's village Prerow has a 125 year-long tradition as bathing resort. The different climatic zones of Baltic Sea, Darß forest, inner bay,and grassland characterize Prerow as a spa and health resort. Its circuitousness and the old tree population generate the distinctive nature of Prerow. Every visitor finds his appropriate appartment out of the numerous cosy holiday cottages and flats, pensions and hotels, often under the traditional thatched roof.

An esplanade with cafés, restaurants and retail shops leads to the 395 m long Baltic Sea pier. In our Darß museum you get to know the history of the region. From geological concerns to the exposure and development of the Baltic resort's entity you get into our technical and cultural tradition. Regular cabarets in the Kulturkaten or in the worth-seeing seemen's church are a year-round diversification during your stay.

Prerow is surrounded by the national park "Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft" and is therefore a potential starting point for exploration tours by foot or bike. Through the lusty Darß forest you get to the light house Darßer Ort and to the picturesque western beach, where the unresisted nature forces can be experienced impressively.
