Trip to the lighthouse Darßer Ort

The Darßer Ort with its 150 years old lighthouse lies on one of the most beautiful places of the German coast in the midst of the national park "Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft".

Since 1991 the German Sea Museum carries out the NATUREUM Darßer Ort. In the historic lighthouse grange and inside the lighthouse the visitor finds numerous exhibitions. From the 35 metres high lighthouse you can enjoy a wonderful glance over the Darß landscape. Incidentally also horse-drawn carriages drive from Prerow to the NATUREUM.

The focuses are: the Natureum Darßer Ort, animals of the Darß landscape, the Darß forest at night, the coast dynamic on the Darß as well as several Baltic Sea aquaria. The 35 metres high lighthouse Darßer Ort can be climbed. A museum café and shop are complementing the offer. The Natureum ist just accessible on foot, bike or with the horse-drawn carriage.
