From the close-by beach sail boarders can start easily. Particularly with easterly wind the inner bay is sparkled with multicoloured sails. Who rather seeks for complete relaxation can take the steamboat to Wustrow or Ribnitz or sail away with the traditional "Zeesenboot Hanne Nüte".
The "Saaler Bodden" is a quite plain brackwater, which generally appears pleasant. But please note: the, in comparison to the Baltic Sea, short waves can be quite risky.
